An Overview of Online Learning -- 2nd edition published

Need to boost your knowledge on how to apply online learning in your corporation or post secondary institution? Concordia University’s Assistant Professor Saul Carliner’s second edition of An Overview of Online Learning book by HRD Press (www.hrdpress.com) explores the types of learning possible online, the technology used to make online learning happen, and some of the issues in purchasing, creating, and administering online learning programs. The book includes worksheets, samples of designs for online courses, a glossary of technical terms, and more.

Ontario Colleges launch Human Performance Improvement programs

Investing in human capital for the lifetime of the job, not just the employment term of the individual, is an approach that will be promoted by corporate programs launched by Seneca College in Toronto and Fanshawe College. Set to launch this Spring, current and future leaders in human resource development, performance measurement and training may now choose from two types of accreditation in Human Performance Improvement (HPI).
Seneca College (Toronto) offers a Recognition of Achievement Certificate in Human Performance Improvement, in four courses (128 hours) commencing in May 2004. Fanshawe program’s (London) Letter of Achievement will commence in June 2004.
